Yvette is the proud owner and chef at Ma Yve Grill. Originally from the Congo located in Central Africa, Yvette enjoyed creating traditional African homecooked meals for her friends and family and seeing them gather together, laugh and create new memories all because of her dedication to high-quality Congolese cuisine. She’s also known for regularly serving and befriending NBA star and Toronto Raptors player, Serge Ibaka, whose favourite dish is the infamous Fumbwa.

We want our customers to taste the wondrous and delightful flavors that traditional Congo food has to offer without leaving Pickering. We have unique meat dishes, freshly caught fish dishes, vegetarian options, and peanut-free options for those with serious allergies. Even if you can’t make it to our location on Rosefield Road in Pickering, we want to make our cuisine easily accessible for all. We offer takeout and delivery to surrounding areas upon request (subject to availability). We also offer our full menu on Doordash, Skip The Dishes and Uber Eats six days a week. So if you don’t feel like cooking, you can leave it up to Yvette and her dedicated team to bring a fresh homecooked meal to your doorstep. In fact, our dishes are so fresh and made of the highest quality ingredients you can even enjoy your leftovers for the next few days!
